Although Brittany and Patrick Mahomes are still waiting for their third child, the news that she will be induced on Monday suggests that the moment may be approaching.
Even though Brittany was supposed to give birth on Sunday, the baby hasn’t arrived yet, so the excitement is still building.
Given that the Chiefs quarterback is preparing for an NFL Divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, it adds to what will undoubtedly be a busy week for Brittany and Patrick.
No one happier to get back to KC than Patrick Mahomes. He told me his wife Brittany is due to give birth to their 3rd child on Sunday. If she doesn’t give birth by then she will be induced Monday. There was def extra motivation for Patrick to get that bye week! #Chiefs https://t.co/wh5lmEFUsn

In the Chiefs’ final regular season game, a 38-0 loss to the Denver Broncos that had no bearing on their postseason standing, Mahomes was rested. However, bad weather caused Patrick and the rest of the crew to be delayed in returning home.
“Patrick Mahomes is more than happy to return to Kansas City. Tracy Wolfson of CBS Sports said on January 6 that “he informed me his wife Brittany is due to give birth to their third child on Sunday.”
“If she doesn’t give birth by then she will be induced Monday. There was def extra motivation for Patrick to get that bye week!”
After the Christmas Day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Patrick talked about the wait for baby number three, even though his attention has been on football since the playoffs are here.
“Brittany says I have been stressing her out too much this season so I got to try and not put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye,” he said.
