Kylie Kelce praised Taylor Swift in a rare moment during a recent episode of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie.” Kylie, 32, spoke with Kate Hudson during the Thursday, March 6, episode, and Kate, 45, talked about growing up alongside Beyoncé and how they both handled their lives in the spotlight.
“She’s worked so hard. She works so hard,” Kate said, referencing Beyoncé, 43. “As you know, with Taylor [Swift], this doesn’t just come. It comes with real attention to detail and care and hard work.” Kylie then chimed in and said, “Yes, the drive is incredible. To be able to witness it all is very cool.”
The soon-to-be mom of four and Taylor, 35, became friendly after Taylor, 35, began dating Travis Kelce. Kyle’s married to Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce.
Kylie and the “Speak Now” artist have been seen together in the same suite at NFL games, and shortly before Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs took on the Philadelphia Eagles at the 2024 Super Bowl in New Orleans, Kylie and Taylor were spotted enjoying a family dinner together at a local restaurant.
While Kylie hasn’t done many interviews where she talked about the Grammy winner, she’s opened up about their relationship and chastised the media for seeming to try and pit them against one another.
After Kylie appeared on the February 12 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, headlines made the rounds about how she didn’t eat one of Taylor’s “home-cooked meals.” Some articles made it seem like the decision was made out of malice, but the former field hockey player was quick to slam the claims.
“Why are we trying to pit women against women? Why we doing that? That seems dumb and counterproductive,” Kylie said during the February 20 episode of her podcast. “Anyone that asks me in person, I am very forthcoming about how much I love and appreciate her and the fact that I love that you can tell how happy Travis is and that’s what I care about.”
She also gave more insight into the situation with Taylor’s meal and clarified that the dinner she spoke about during her appearance on “Call Her Daddy” was a “private dinner” that was prepared by “an outstanding chef.”
“The home-cooked meals that I did not get to enjoy were not because I refused to eat them, but because the child in my womb overwhelmed me with hormones that suggested that if I consume anything other than crackers that it might be seen again if you catch my drift,” Kylie explained.
“Anyone that has experienced pregnancy nausea knows that it’s not a choice. At eight weeks, that’s not a choice.”
She continued, “I’ve known women who’ve lived on only waffles for their entire first trimester. There are women who can only stomach cereal or crackers or pretzels. And you know what? Sometimes that’s me.”
Kylie added that she did not “refuse” any of the items the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer made and said that Taylor later baked some “Funfetti pancakes” that she was able to enjoy. “They hit. They were so good,” Kylie gushed. “Baby liked them, I loved them. They were very, very good.”
