FOX Host Ripped For 'Dumbest' Andy Reid Comment Of All-Time

Since Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs were blown out in Super Bowl 59, we’ve seen some hot takes flying.

Most of them have been about Patrick Mahomes and if he can still elevate himself to become the NFL’s greatest QB of all-time. Others have been concerning themselves with tight end Travis Kelce’s future and if he’ll decide to retire.

There have even been a few people debating whether the Chiefs’ dynasty is officially dead or merely needs a reboot.

As of this afternoon though, the absolute most nuclear take belongs to Fox Sports’ Rob Parker, who argued that Reid needs to step down as head coach because the Chiefs’ “fall off a cliff” has been trending for two years.

“Andy Reid should step down as head coach of the Chiefs,” Parker said. “This isn’t a one game reaction because they lost the Super Bowl and got boatraced. Where were the adjustments? Where was the gameplan? I’m not a football coach.”

“Guys who are football coaches questioned the gameplan – no running game to start at all. You get behind and have to pass. This is what he did in Philadelphia all the time, he got pass-happy. They got tired of that in Philadelphia.”

“This fall off the cliff is two years in the making. Last year they won the Super Bowl, so it kinda covered up how bad things were with the receivers and the struggles. Andy Reid is supposed to be an offensive genius. Why is Patrick Mahomes struggling so much?”

Parker’s argument seems ridiculous, and it looks like most people who listened to it are treating it that way.

“I’d quit my job before giving this take in public,” said radio host Cody Tapp.

“This is it. We’ve done it. We’ve found the stupidest human being alive,” said FanSided’s Patrick Allen. “I’d say to put this guy in a rocket and fire him into the sun but it would be a waste of fuel. Skip Bayless is somewhere watching this clip thinking ‘Man, this guy is an embarrassment to sports media.'”

“Falling off a cliff’ = 5 Super Bowl appearances in 7 years. 3 rings. 7 straight AFCCG appearances. 9 straight AFC West titles,” said a Chiefs fan.

“A guy whose name ends with ‘MLBbro’ should not be allowed to make comments on the NFL. I don’t care if it’s a free country,” another Chiefs fan added.

“Sports media has hit absolute rock bottom,” a fifth person chimed in.

For what it’s worth, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has already said Reid will be back for the 2025 season.

Sure, he said that before the Super Bowl happened, but we don’t think last Sunday’s result will have any impact on the situation, no matter what Parker says.

Reid will ultimately get the opportunity to decide when he’s done, and it doesn’t seem like it will be for a while.
