The Philadelphia Eagles destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9. After not losing a playoff game in three years, the Chiefs’ collapsing while on the brink of becoming the first team in NFL history to win a Super Bowl three-peat is tough to process.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce spoke about the devastating loss on the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast, along with the possibly deciding to retire after 12 years in the NFL. “I think I’m gonna take some time to figure it out,” Kelce said.
“I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back, it’s going to be something that it’s a wholehearted decision, I’m not half-assing it, I’m fully here for them.”
“I think I can play. It’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to take on all that responsibility.”
Cheering for the Chiefs at the Superdome on Sunday, Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift. While the pop star’s game day outfits always draw viral attention, fans are convinced that Swift, a master of dropping Easter egg clues, sent a strong message with her wardrobe choice on Super Bowl Sunday.
Underneath her YSL blazer ($3,253), Swift wrote a white Alaia bodysuit ($1,300) with Monday Denim “Crystal Embellished Shorts,” and Paris Texas over the knee boots ($1,120). This outfit appears like a revamped version of what the “Karma” singer wore to her first-ever Chiefs game on Sept. 24, 2023 — a white tank top with jean shorts.
and if i said what if she wore an outfit kinda similar to her first game outfit to make it full circle since she’s probably one of the only people who knows his actual plans♀️ and by saying that i mean what if that was her last wag fit… a little nod to the beginning pic.twitter.com/TCstu1xR68

One fan posted after listening to Kelce address possible retirement on Wednesday’s podcast, “and if i said what if she wore an outfit kinda similar to her first game outfit to make it full circle since she’s probably one of the only people who knows his actual plans and by saying that i mean what if that was her last wag fit… a little nod to the beginning.”
Another fan replied, “That was my first thought. That outfit is a combination of her first appearance at the game and the outfit from the first game of this, 2nd, season, high boots.”
One person added, “I thought that day of Super Bowl.”
Sarah Chappelle, author the Taylor Swift Styled Instagram account, touched on the callback in her review, as well.
Chappelle wrote, “To me, this outfit is a double whammy of nostalgic ‘firsts’ for Taylor, referencing both of the first Chiefs season games she’s attended. “The combination of a white tank top and denim shorts recalls her very first Chiefs game ever from September 2023.
Back then, Taylor styled her outfit with cute and casual sneakers. The decision to go with a fierce pair of OTK boots (plus those denim shorts) feels directly referential to the 2024 Chiefs season opener against the Ravens.”
