There aren’t many players or teams that can say that they slowed down Aaron Donald but Jason Kelce and the Eagles are one of them.
During a recent podcast appearance on “Green Light with Chris Long,” the recent retiree was asked what teams (if any) gave him trouble and didn’t take him long to arrive on Kelce and the Philadelphia line.
I hated playing against Philly. Kelce, his little fast [expletive] always ran full — he would snap the ball and run over right now. I’m like, bro, you got some good guards. Let them work. You don’t got to help them every time. Fans got a kick out of Donald’s reply on social media.
“This is why Jason Kelce is the greatest center in the history of the NFL,” a user said. “I can proudly say I watched Aaron Donald get 0 sacks against my fav NFL team in his whole NFL career,” another commented.
“Aaron Donald confirming the Eagles having had the best O-line,” a fan tweeted. “So much damn respect. Love this. The NFL is gonna miss Jason Kelce and Aaron Donald something fierce.”
Donald and Kelce have had some epic battles over the course of their careers in the NFC. Unfortunately it looks like Week 5’s 23-14 game will be the last we ever see of it.
