A regular guest on ESPN’s “First Take” might’ve gotten himself into some hot water thanks to his Jason Kelce criticism.
During his weekly Wednesday appearance on the network’s top-rated debate show, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo said he’s seen enough of the former Eagle on ESPN’s airwaves.
ESPN execs gotta love Dog complaining about seeing too much of Jason Kelce on ESPN.

“You’re gonna get mad at me. I’m gonna say it anyway because I feel like it,” Russo warned. “I’m in one of those moods. … I think we’ve all seen plenty of Jason Kelce in the last few weeks.” Russo’s comments didn’t sit well with partners Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim and Jeff Saturday.
“I happen to like Jason Kelce,” Stephen A. replied. “Woah, woah woah!… We all [like Kelce]… He’s a star, OK,” Qerim said. “They put him in the booth in the Philadelphia game against Atlanta!” Mad Dog yelled.
“You’re a hater,” Saturday chimed in. “He’s a new star to the network,” Smith added. “I’m very proud of him and I’m happy to see him. I got no problems with that. He’s not the one on ESPN BET commercials.”
Kelce signed on with the Worldwide Leader to appear on its “Monday Night Countdown” show each week of the regular season and throughout the playoffs — including its studio show for the Super Bowl. The ex-All-Pro also juggles that responsibility with his extremely popular “New Heights” podcast co-hosted by his brother, Travis.
