The Kansas City Chiefs player has revealed the first details of his relationship with the pop star.
Swift and Kelce’s relationship has unquestionably grown to be one of the most prominent celebrity partnerships in recent years after rumors of it started to circulate at the end of last year.
While the tight end has appeared in some of Swift’s performances on her Eras tour, the pop singer is frequently spotted cheering on her partner as he plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in NFL games.
And now, some information about how the two started dating has surfaced, such as the first message Kelce sent Swift.
The American football player didn’t discuss the connection publicly until later in the year, when he verified the initial message he wrote to Swift, despite the fact that rumors that he and Swift had started dating began in the summer of 2023.
“I’ve seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead [Stadium],” Kelce said in an interview with The Pat McAfee Show in September 2023. To find out which is a little more illuminated, you might have to come witness me take the stage at Arrowhead.
“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court.”
He told American talk show presenter McAfee that he was eager to see where the relationship would go, but he did not address whether the two had previously met in person at the time.
He added: “We’ll see what happens in the near future.”
Swift agreed to Kelce’s invitation and went to the game in Kansas City three days later. The two were seen embracing as they left Arrowhead Stadium.
On his New Heights podcast, Kelce discussed the game and dating Swift, saying: “I’m on the roller coaster, the roller coaster of life.” Yes, I have noticed certain changes, such as the presence of paparazzi outside my home.
“Congratulations to Taylor for arriving.” Yes, that was a fairly bold situation. I simply thought it was fantastic that everyone in the suite, including her family and friends, had nothing but positive things to say about her. She had a stunning appearance.
“So, shout-out to Taylor for coming through and seeing me rock the stage.”
