It’s no secret that Travis Kelce is a hearty eater. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has often talked about his favorite comfort foods and during a recent episode of his podcast ‘New Heights’, he did.
Travis opened up about his love for an all-time American kids’ snack, Pop-Tarts. The fun part is, that Taylor Swift has a Pop-Tarts recipe and she has even baked it for Kelce’s teammates and coach.
During the podcast, the Kelces discussed their favourite cereals, Reese’s Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Lucky Charms. While talking about the 2024 college football bowl games, the brother shared how much they both love Pop-Tarts.
Travis has been a long-time fan of this breakfast snack and has even showered praises on Taylor’s Pop-Tarts recipe in the past.
In November, Kansas City Chiefs defensive backs coach David Merritt Sr. tweeted that Taylor had baked her own “victory Pop-Tarts” for him and the team.

“Taylor Swift baked homemade victory Pop Tarts [for] me!” he wrote, alongside photos of Swift and the homemade tarts in question. His tweet went on, referring to his wife, “Yolonda Merritt said, ‘She’s done it all season for different people Dave’ ♂️ I thought I was SPECIAL ♂️ Sweet young woman regardless!”
Shortly after, Travis himself gushed about Taylor’s Pop-Tarts recipe. At a press conference back in June, Travis shared, “Taylor makes a great Pop-Tart and cinnamon roll,” he said.
“I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her,” he added. The duo recapped some of the best bowl games and the conversation steered to Duke’s Mayo Bowl and the “mayo shower” (the Duke’s Mayo Bowl version of a “Gatorade shower”) for the winning team played.
Since Travis famously detests mayonnaise, he couldn’t help but remark, “Get it off the screen.” “I’m sweating,” he added.
Naturally, the brothers also discussed The Pop-Tarts Bowl, which is an annual college football bowl game played in Orlando, Florida, at Camping World Stadium.
Recently, Pop Tarts the brand, made a trophy with an actual working toaster inside, and introduced three new Pop-Tarts mascots to replace the one that was eaten at the end of the game last year. “I thought they had the coolest mascots,” Travis said about the bowl game. “What was your favorite Pop-Tart growing up?”
After remarking that Toaster Strudels didn’t count, Jason responded, “It’s hard to go wrong with a Strawberry.” “Mhm! F**k, they’re so good,” Travis agreed.
Jason also mentioned that he enjoyed the Brown Sugar Cinnamon flavour, while Travis added S’mores to the list. Travis also mentioned a “sneaky” flavour which according to him, was one of the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl mascots.
“There was the sneaky one that came in just as we were getting too old to eat Pop-Tarts every day,” Travis said. “The blueberry one,” Jason asked. “Wild Berry. It was purple with the blue icing…” Travis said. “It’s a very good one,” Jason agreed. “Could you imagine a childhood without those,” Travis asked. “I don’t know,” replied Jason.
