Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been an item for well over a year, and the Grammy winner is a regular visitor to Arrowhead Stadium.
With the Chiefs into another AFC Championship game after beating the Houston Texans 23-14, a game that Taylor was watching from Kelce’s suite, there is now a real element of how well the Chiefs play when Swift is at games.
Pat McAfee alluded to that when talking with Kelce this past week on The Pat McAfee Show. “Isn’t she on a winning streak? As soon as she steps foot in that stadium, I imagine live bettors are scrambling to their phones, thinking, ‘Yup, Chiefs are destined to win!’ It’s like clockwork,” McAfee said.
And now, the good folks at USA Today have done the leg work and have actually come up with the record the Chiefs have when Taylor is at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs are 7-0 this season and, going back to 2023, have an overall record of 17-3 when Swift watches from Kelce’s suite.
That is some record, and one could say that Swift is the Chiefs’ good luck charm because they rarely lose when she’s in attendance. Meanwhile, the Chiefs as an organization are also benefiting from Swift being involved. Last weekend, Swift hosted WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark in an Arrowhead suite in a break-the-internet moment.
And all along Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt and her family have recognized the upside to it all. “The whole world knows,” Hunt says, adding, “And it’s been such a special time to have her be a part of Chiefs Kingdom.
She is just as beautiful and wonderful as you’d ever imagine her to be, so smart and intelligent.” Added Gracie to People mag: “Sometimes it feels a little bit surreal because you and I grew up watching her and falling in love with her music, and so did so much of the world.” And now the world watches her watch …
You can bet that Taylor will be at Arrowhead cheering on Kelce when the Buffalo Bills roll into town for the AFC Championship game, with the 7-0 streak this season about to get a stern test.
But with a 17-3 overall record, it is no wonder the Chiefs loom as favorites to go to their third-straight Super Bowl. … With Swift acting as the ultimate good luck charm.
