Coming off of their first loss of the season, the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs are taking on the 3-7 Carolina Panthers, who are coming off of a bye.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will both be present, but it doesn’t sound like Taylor Swift will be. ESPN’s David Newton tweeted out on Sunday morning that she’s not expected at the game.
“Told Taylor Swift not coming to Charlotte for Panthers-Chiefs,” he wrote on November 24. Swift has been a regular attendee at multiple games this season, supporting her boyfriend Kelce in the Chiefs’ 2024 title defense. The Charlotte Ledger, a North Carolina-based newsletter, tweeted out screenshots of the music star’s airplane tracker early on Sunday morning.
“Online airplane trackers show that Taylor Swift’s jet left Toronto last night (where she had a concert), stopped off in Kansas City for 25 minutes.
Then flew to Nashville (where she lives),” the tweet read with supporting photos. All reports indicate Swift will not be in attendance.
Perhaps her absence is based in a confidence from Kelce and the Chiefs that Sunday’s game will be a blowout, as is widely expected. Carolina is starting former first overall pick Bryce Young for a fifth time this season, after benching him for multiple weeks midseason due to poor performance.
Kansas City is favored by 11 points across most sports books and kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm EST.
