Jason Kelce went through a major dilemma during the Super Bowl. So much so, that the seven-time Pro Bowl center admitted that he did not really enjoy the game as much as he wanted.
Kelce was torn between cheering for his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, and rooting for his own brother, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ultimately, it was the Eagles who reigned supreme as they dominated the two-time champs, 40-22, but Jason Kelce wasn’t exactly in a celebratory mood after seeing his brother go through such heartbreak. Jason Kelce did enjoy his trip to New Orleans for the big event, though.
He shared on a recent episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast how wonderful of a host city New Orleans was for arguably the biggest sporting event of the year.
When asked if he took part in any of the festivities before and after Super Bowl LIX, Jason Kelce said that he went to a “New Heights” party and a Chirs Stapleton concert.
“Outside of that I just lost all my money at the casino,” Jason Kelce revealed. “Casino’s right next door and because I won so much money last year at Las Vegas (at the Super Bowl), I thought, ‘Hey, we’ll just keep this rolling, this will be great.’ Yup, didn’t work this time.”
The former Philadelphia Eagles star admitted that this is exactly why he doesn’t frequent casinos. It’s just like “handing them money,” he said.
He then went on to share a hilarious incident wherein he started beefing with a player on the Craps table. “I’m sitting there playing Craps,” Jason Kelce recalled.
“This (expletive) dude is sitting down playing the ‘Don’t Pass’ line, killing it. Just killing it. … I want to kill this guy so bad.” Things got so bad for Jason Kelce that he decided to compare it to how the Eagles blew out the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. “To be honest, that was a bigger bloodbath than the game was,” Jason Kelce said.
“I know you’re frustrated with the Eagles-Chiefs game. The Craps table with Jason Kelce versus this guy, it was even more embarrassing.”
“I don’t know if it could get more embarrassing than that,” Travis Kelce replied.
