According to sources who spoke to Us Weekly, Taylor Swift is prepared to “settle down” and embark on a new phase of her life with her fiancé, Travis Kelce. However, the singer is still unsure of what she will do after her Eras Tour concludes in December.
One source explained that the couple of over a year has been having “serious conversations” about their future. “Taylor has expressed how excited she is to settle down after her tour concludes,” the source said. “They’re on the same page.”
They added that “Taylor and Travis are very committed and serious about their future. Taylor is ready for the next era of her life. She knows it will be special.”
A second source touched more on the possibility of them getting engaged, saying, “They both see marriage as something they want sooner rather than later, and they both want kids. Taylor has always [been excited by] the idea of marriage and starting a family. She just hadn’t found The One until now.”
“They’ve built a lot of trust,” the insider noted. “They both knew what they signed up for and navigated it well. They’re in love and don’t care what others think.”
That second source revealed that their date nights are actually pretty relaxed for two A-list celebrities, too. “They are both chill people who love their downtime,” the source shared. “Staying in is a luxury for them. They enjoy cooking dinner together. It’s a refreshing contrast to their [public] lives.”
Rumors of an engagement have periodically appeared during Swift and Kelce’s relationship. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was reportedly going to pop the question, but Kelce’s representative most recently refuted the rumor by stating that there were “no formal engagement plans” in place.
Us Weekly was told by a source in May that Kelce wasn’t quite ready to pop the question. “Travis has no plans to propose to Taylor anytime soon,” a source claimed. He isn’t even considering it. He would never just leap into marriage without giving it some serious thought since he takes it very seriously.” Kelce “cares very deeply [about Swift], but he’s just not there yet,” they said.
