Patrick Mahomes Shares Concerning Update on Brittany Mahomes’ Due Date

The Kansas City Chiefs face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. If the Chiefs defeat the Steelers, they will have officially clinched the AFC’s top seed. “You want that 1 seed to get that bye, so you’re basically winning a playoff game by getting the 1 seed,” Mahomes told reporters. “You get that, and you’ll have home field advantage as well at Arrowhead, which we feel like is a huge advantage for us.”

“All you can do is go out there and play football and know that we’re going to play a great football team and it’s going to take our best football to win.” While the primetime holiday game prevents Mahomes from spending Christmas morning with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and his two children, Sterling, three, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, two, they are at the top of his mind. Before kickoff at Acrisure Stadium, Mahomes spoke with host Kay Adams and revealed a huge update on Brittany’s pregnancy, as they are expecting another girl.

The three-time Super Bowl MVP informed Adams that Brittany is “due any day now,” which instantly raised eyebrows. With the Chiefs winning 16 straight one-point games, “Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season,” said the 29-year-old quarterback. Added with a laugh. “So, I gotta try to not put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye.”Hopefully, God works in the right way, and maybe we can have the kid during a bye week somewhere, and then everything will be wonderful.”

Even if the Chiefs fail to upset the Steelers on Christmas, a win over the Denver Broncos in Week 18 would secure the No. 1 seed. However, if Kansas City loses its final two games of the season and the Buffalo Bills win their final two games, the Chiefs will have to settle for the second spot.
