Patrick Mahomes has expressed his annoyance with the recent month’s burglary at his house and the mansion owned by close friend and teammate Travis Kelce. Around midnight on October 6, Mahomes’ house in Kansas City was broken into; Kelce’s house was targeted around 48 hours later.
Since the events are under investigation, the Chiefs quarterback was unable to provide detailed details about them. He did not hold back about the overall scenario. Clearly, it’s annoying. Disappointingly,’ Mahomes stated Wednesday, addressing the topic in public for the first time. Clearly something you would not want to have happen to truly any one. Still, clearly you.'”
Regarding either burglary, it is unknown whether anyone was home at the time. Furthermore unknown from Mahomes’ house is what was stolen. After Kelce’s house was burglarized, local police reported that $20,000 in cash vanished. Officially, no charges have been brought forward from the events. Mahomes added, though, he anticipates the specifics from the burglaries being revealed some point in the future.
Although Kelce has not yet addressed the matter in public, the Chiefs should make Kelce available to the media at some point within the next week. About half an hour from Arrowhead Stadium, Mahomes and Kelce both live in Kansas City suburbs.
Last year Kelce settled into his new house in Leawood, Kansas, while the Mahomes family lives in Belton, Missouri. With a 9-0 record, the Chiefs are the top team in the NFL and will be going to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, maybe their hardest challenge of the season.
Kansas City enters that mega-AFC game on a 15-game winning run; they have not dropped a game since last Christmas.
