Paige Spiranac Fires Back at Unfair Treatment of Taylor Swift at Super Bowl LIX

Taylor Swift‘s Super Bowl LIX experience wasn’t the best. Not only did her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles and missed out on a potential three-peat, but the pop star herself got a rude welcome from the opposing fans at the Superdome.

Before the big game started, Swift was met with loud boos from Eagles fans in attendance after the “Bad Blood” hitmaker was shown on the jumbotron. The singer seemed confused by the gesture and appeared to ask, “What’s going on?”

Paige Spiranac saw the moment and couldn’t help but criticize the actions of Eagles fans. The popular golf influencer proceeded to highlight how much of an impact Swift has had on the NFL ever since she and Kelce started dating.

Spiranac also emphasized that Swift has no control over what the jumbotron or the broadcasts show, or what the NFL or people post on social media, so it’s unfair to criticize her for it.

“It was reported that the NFL’s brand value has increased almost 1 billion dollars since Taylor Swift started dating Kelce,” Spiranac wrote on X. “The NFL is using her popularity to boost their brand. So booing Taylor Swift is lame.”

The social media personality added, “She was just showing up to support her significant other. The amount of times she’s shown at a game or posted on social media is out of her control.”

For what it’s worth, it’s not only Paige Spiranac who showed support for Taylor Swift. Tennis icon Serena Williams, who attended the Super Bowl live, also came to the defense of the pop star immediately after she heard the boos.

“I love you @taylorswift13 don’t listen to those boos!!” Williams wrote on X. NFL reporter Erin Andrews also said that she felt “bad” for Swift, calling her the “most famous amazing woman in the world.”

While Swift has yet to personally address the booing she received, her fellow celebrities and fans continue to show her love and assure her that she’s beloved by more people.
