Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift have quite a history, and it hasn’t always been pleasant.
The supposed beef between two of the biggest names in the music industry came back to life on Friday after Bieber posted a photo on Instagram of the blood moon lunar eclipse from Thursday night.
What stood out for the Swifties, though, is the fact that Bieber decided to use “Bad Blood,” one of Swift’s most popular songs, as his background music.
The issue, however, is that Bieber used the “stolen” version of the song from her 2014 album “1989.”
For context, Swift re-recorded and re-released that same song and album in 2023 after her high-profile feud with former manager Scooter Braun and her former record label Big Machine Records.
Braun also happens to be Bieber’s former manager, and the two go way back. In fact, Braun, who managed Bieber as early as he was 13 years old, is credited for playing a major role in Bieber’s rise to fame.
According to TMZ, Bieber supported Braun during his beef with Swift back in 2019.
All this has led to Bieber facing backlash from more than a few angry Swifties for his decision to use the “stolen” version of “Bad Blood.”

“ofc it’s the stolen version,” a comment on X read.
“its also the stolen version,” said another.
“are you dumb that’s literally stolen version to no one’s surprise,” reacted a Swift fan.
“We can tell that he’s still supporting Scooter by the version of the song. Not surprising tho,” a Swiftie posted.
“He’s using a non Taylor’s version on purpose, please don’t fall for this. He’s still trashy,” declared another.
“we don’t need that rat’s stolen version supporting,” a comment read.
The fans are clearly not happy with Bieber here, and they did not hold back in calling out the 31-year-old singer over his post.
As for Swift, she’s currently doing what she can to stay away from the spotlight. She’s reportedly spending her downtime with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who himself is coming off a demanding NFL season.
The couple are reportedly “laying low” of late, but have been together traveling and going out on low-key date nights.
