Former TV host Chris Harrison explains why Travis Kelce is 'perfect' for Taylor Swift

Chris Harrison knows a good match when he sees it, and he officially ships Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The former Bachelor host, 52, recalled seeing Kelce, 34, ‘having the time of his life’ during the recent American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe as he explained why the NFL star is ‘perfect’ for Swift, 34.

‘He’s having a blast, but he really does a good job to put himself out there and not hide from it, not try to act like he’s bigger than this,’ said Harrison of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever.

‘In fact, he’s like, no, I’m gonna shotgun a beer with you, take a picture. I’ll sign your chest, whatever,’ he added.

Harrison said he ‘really admires’ how Kelce is ‘handling’ his level of fame amid the couple’s growing relationship. ‘He’s embracing it. He’s having a blast,’ he said.

The TV personality explained why Kelce ‘would be perfect’ for Swift. ‘He is not as big a star as her,’ he said.

‘But he’s as big a personality and he embraces everything that comes with Taylor Swift’s magnificent spotlight,’ added Harrison. ‘He can handle it.’

He said Kelce’s life has ‘changed exponentially because he’s dating the most famous woman in the world.’

Harrison’s podcast comes after Kelce was spotted dancing to one of his girlfriend’s songs on the course at the ACC weekend.

Kelce was first linked to the Grammy Award winner last July when he attended her Eras Tour stop at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium, where he first attempted to shoot his shot.

Swift later confirmed their romance that September when she was spotted with Travis’ mother Donna Kelce, cheering him on at the same stadium.

After his exit from the Bachelor franchise in 2021, Harrison announced in March that he’s preparing to make his comeback with a new dating show on Phil McGraw’s new Merit Street Media network.

Dr. Phil, 73, told Entertainment tonight the show will be ‘so different’ from Bachelor Nation and other dating shows.

‘It has dating elements in it, but this is so different and so novel. It is flipping the script in a way that I think people are gonna become addicted to it in a week,’ he explained. ‘It is unbelievable.’

Harrison said of the show, ‘People got to know and love me for two decades hosting The Bachelor, so, yes, we are going to be creating a reality dating show.

‘For years and years I said, “This is the most dramatic show ever,”‘ he added. ‘We want to create a show where those words actually ring true, so this dating show will be the most dramatic ever — that you can be sure of.’

Harrison will also host a morning talk show on the Dallas-based network with his wife Lauren Zima, whom he married in Napa Valley in November.
