WNBA player Angel Reese, who is embroiled in a heated fight with Taylor Swift fans on social media, will be hosting Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce’s ex, on her podcast.
Between 2017 and 2022, NFL player Kelce, 34, and Kansas City Chiefs star Nicole, 33, had intermittent relationships. Since then, the tight end has moved on to celebrity singer Swift; in September 2023, the two will become public.
Nicole has been a target on social media since Kelce and Swift’s union was announced, with fans attacking her for her looks. “Very pretty,” a troll wrote via X, adding a puking emoji. “YOU WILL NEVER MAKE ME HATE ME. Hang it upppppppp bookie,” Nicole responded.
Nicole also issued a powerful mental health image amid attacks from Swift fans. “Invest in your mental and physical health,” she said. “Prioritize that mind and body over EVERYTHING. No amount of success, money, love, or tangible item is worth more than the quality of your mental. Life is brighter when you feel good – inside and out.”
Nicole will now be featured in a forthcoming edition of “Unapologetically Angel,” WNBA rookie sensation Reese’s brand-new podcast. Fans are encouraged to submit questions to Nicole on the show’s X page.
“Oh, this is a good one! 100% you have to ask how she’s been coping with all the hate from her last relationship and if she’s interested in dating someone in football again or even someone in the public eye,” one fan responded.
“Seriously do you think Travis is happy? Do you think he is starting a new chapter in his life hence the physical appearance change? Do you think you will ever be free from being connected to him? What is one thing you want the world to know about you that is never mentioned?” another curiously asked. “I dare you to do the whole podcast and not mention or allude to her ex and his girlfriend,” another challenged Reese.
Swift and Kelce have now been together for a year. Swift has consistently attended his Chiefs NFL games, including their February Super Bowl title defense against the San Francisco 49ers.
Swift has missed Kelce’s last two games, though, so it’s uncertain if she’ll be present for Monday night’s game against the Saints in New Orleans. In 2024, Kansas City is 4-0 and, along with the Minnesota Vikings (5-1) are one of only two unbeaten teams in the NFL.
