'Twisters’ Star Anthony Ramos Makes a Bold Declaration About Taylor Swift and the NFL

At a recent NFL game viewing party, Twisters star Anthony Ramos shared his thoughts on Taylor Swift’s influence on football.

On Thursday, September 19, the New England Patriots and New York Jets squared off in this event, which was hosted by The Athletic. Even though the Kansas City Chiefs were not present at the festivities on Thursday, some of the celebrities in attendance brought up Swift’s friendship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Even though Ramos, 32, is a Jets supporter, he has nothing but praise for the musical sensation, who has drawn a lot of new fans to NFL games.

For football, the “Cruel Summer” singer has “been amazing,” the In the Heights actor told People. He added that a lot of people now watch Chiefs games live “just to see that cut to Taylor.”

Swift, 34, started going to NFL games in the fall when her romance with Kelce, 34, started to blossom. She supported him during multiple games in the 2023–24 season, which included Super Bowl LVIII, and has already been to both of the Chiefs’ games in the 2024–25 season.

The 14-time Grammy Award winner has received criticism from ardent football fans who find it bothersome that she always seems to be the center of attention at games, but the NFL community as a whole has also praised her for encouraging Swifties to take up the sport—some of them for the first time.

Although Swift will continue her well-liked Eras Tour in mid-October, many fans anticipate seeing the “Fortnight” singer at numerous more games in the coming months as their romance with Kelce seems to be going strong.

Swift’s tour is set to return to the United States for nine concerts after a successful stint overseas, after which it will make a quick stop in portions of Canada. Commencing in March 2023, the Eras Tour is scheduled to celebrate its last performance in early December.
