Travis Kelce’s Unexpected Opinion of Eagles Fans Revealed

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce knows what it’s like to play in front of wild Philadelphia Eagles fans. During Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, “Travis, and his brother, former NFL offensive lineman Jason Kelce, touched on the subject of how intense Eagles supporters can be during games.

The topic was brought up as the two were talking about the enmity between Los Angeles Rams rookie Jared Verse and Philadelphia fans. “Being a Chiefs player my entire life, going to your games, I’ve gotten some fun banter [with Eagles fans],” Travis told Jason, who played his entire NFL career with Philadelphia.

Philadelphia fans have the reputation of being one of the rowdiest — if not the rowdiest — in the sports realm.

They don’t simply back down when talking trash with opposing players, which, in a way, is a sign of respect, according to Travis. “I think Eagles fans get it. They arguably do love it. They want somebody to come in and talk to them because they want it to be rowdy and like a fight mentality. Like ‘I hate you. You hate us. Let’s duke this out.’ There’s a respect at the end of it,” Travis added.

There is a potential that Travis will get to meet the Eagles and their fans again before the end of the 2024 NFL season, with both Kansas City and Philadelphia still alive in the NFL playoffs. But if they are to meet again this campaign, it will be in Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
