Amid his relationship with Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs’ so far undefeated season, Travis Kelce’s mom Donna Kelce shared how her son isn’t without flaws.
Travis Kelce isn’t exactly scoring points when he steps into the kitchen. Amid the Kansas City Chiefs’ undefeated season and his whirlwind romance with Taylor Swift, the tight end’s mom Donna Kelce shared that when it comes to running a household, her youngest tends to struggle.
“He can’t clean,” Donna noted when asked about some of her son’s weaknesses by Extra. “He can’t cook.” As she laughed, the 71-year-old teased that her son may at least be getting some pointers in the kitchen these days.
“He’s getting a little better,” she added. “I think he’s getting some help.” And Travis—who was seen giving Taylor a kiss in the kitchen as she cooked something up in a YouTube short she shared in April—has noted before how special that activity is for the pair when asked about his favorite things to cook with her.
Of course, the 34-year-old couldn’t help but gush over some of the Eras Tour performer’s signature dishes, adding, “Taylor makes a great Pop-Tart and cinnamon roll.”
In addition to his lack of culinary skills, Donna adds that her youngest son didn’t necessarily gain an artistic penchant, as she added to Extra, “I don’t know if he knows how to paint or do pottery or anything like that.”
And Travis has admitted himself that he’s not exactly Shakespeare either, especially when he sees how skilled his partner is with a pen. “I’ve never been a man of words,” he told WSJ. magazine last November. “Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f–ing mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
But Taylor hasn’t held back on what Travis does bring to the table—previously gushing over his support while making her “Fortnight” music video alongside duet partner Post Malone.
“Something that I’ll always remember is when I finished a take and I’d say ‘cut,’ and we’d be done with that take, I would always hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting it,” she explained during her acceptance speech for Video of the Year. “That one person was my boyfriend Travis.”
Taylor effused, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic.”
