Travis Kelce’s Subtle Gesture Turned Heads on Saturday Night

The Kansas City Chiefs locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff race on Christmas Day with a dominant 29-10 win over the playoff-bound Pittsburgh Steelers. The game produced a number of notable moments, but none was more memorable than start tight end Travis Kelce breaking the franchise record for most touchdowns in a player’s career.

With a touchdown reception on Wednesday, Kelce passed the legendary Tony Gonzalez with 77 touchdowns and paid tribute to the Hall of Famer with his patented touchdown celebration. “I knew the score, and I knew that my guy Harrison [Butker] had my back on the [PAT],” Kelce said afterward, via ESPN.

“So, it’s showing Tony some love and just a big tribute to who he’s been in this, not only this organization but who he’s been for football, and we know how iconic it was that he would dunk the ball over the goalpost all the time. I gave my best effort. I don’t know if I did it quite like him.”

Fast forward just a few days and Kelce spent some quality time with girlfriend Taylor Swift to relax after playing three games in just 11 days. The couple spent a night out in New York City on Saturday night and fans immediately noticed a tender moment from a video showing the couple leaving a restaurant. Kelce couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as the couple walked to their car.

Fans couldn’t get enough. “Just look at his proud smile that’s his girl that’s his lady,” one fan said.

“He knew what he wanted and boy he got her,” added another.

“his big smile right after the fan said ‘taylor we love you,'” said a third.

“That is the look of a man who KNOWS how lucky he is,” offered another.

Kelce and the Chiefs will be right back to work on Monday, but it’s unclear if he’ll be playing in Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
