A week ago today Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said he hoped the team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills would provide motivation for the rest of the season. “I’m hoping that [losing] is a benefit. I’m not going to say I or we relaxed, but at the same time I feel like we were just coming away with these wins at the end of the game,” he said on Sunday.
“I think it’s going to spark us to have more urgency, especially at the start of football games, especially with the offense, and that comes from me and turning the ball over on the first drive. It’s something you can’t do in big games like this.”
Ahead of the non-conference tilt, star tight end Travis Kelce, who had one of his worst games of the season last week when he racked up just eight yards on two receptions, strolled into the Panthers stadium looking like a late 1990’s/early 2000’s boy band star.

Everything from the loose-fitting clothing to the plush bucket hat were on display – and fans weren’t exactly sure how to react.
Reactions to the interesting outfit were mixed.
“Looking Good!” one person said.
“The Old Navy special fit I can dig it,” added a second.
“I hate this fashion show it’s turned into,” offered another.
“Love the fit,” said another.
Kelce is the Chiefs leading receiver so far this season and it’s not particularly close. After wide receiver Rashee Rice went down to injury, Patrick Mahomes has favored his record-setting target over the past few weeks. Carolina and Kansas City kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
