Toronto Friday night saw one of the most prominent Swifties from across the globe. Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s beau, looked like he was ready to “Shake it Off” in the 6ix after being pictured at a neighborhood restaurant. Although that didn’t stop the football player from visiting Toronto ahead of Swift’s Eras Tour, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is scheduled to play the Buffalo Bills in New York State on November 17.
Kelce was seen at King West’s Silent H, taking a picture with businessperson Patrick Marzouk. Using the phrase “Swifties take over Toronto,” the eatery posted it on Instagram. Silent H bills itself as “a culinary journey that started on the streets of Monterrey Mexico, taking the vivid tastes and textures of Mexican street food and elevating them into an upscale dining experience in the heart of downtown Toronto.”

Roll out the “Red” carpet! Taylor Swift has just arrived in Toronto for her Eras Tour and she made quite an entrance. This afternoon the singer’s motorcade—along with a heavy police escort—was observed heading to the Rogers Centre down the Gardener Expressway. Ana, a TikHub user, filmed Swift’s motorcade arriving in Toronto accompanied by a police motorcycle guiding way. “Taylor picking the Gardener seems so strange to me. Like she’s IN MY CITY,” one TikHub user noted.
“probably only celebrity that gets to be on 427 and Gardiner without traffic,” another said. The singer’s six sold-out concerts, scheduled between November 14 and 23, 2024, begin tonight. The Rogers Centre is humming with Swiftie enthusiasm as 50,000 people are scheduled to witness the event tonight, according to CTV News.

For the occasion, the venue has been decorated with a massive friendship bracelet; even some police have joined in on the fun. Swift last appeared in Toronto on her Reputation Tour; she is scheduled to return to Rogers Centre, distributing six shows over two weekends as she keeps breaking records. Fans eager to see history have driven ticket prices for Swift’s never-ending tour to soar dramatically regardless of venue. For those who live close to Toronto, or Canadien supporters, there is good news though: ticket prices for her Toronto gigs have decreased dramatically.
According to the New York Post, ticket prices on Vivid Seats have dropped from $1,321 USD to $991 in three days. Though ticket prices are always fluctuating, that represents a $330 USD savings. Swift will play at Rogers Centre Friday, Saturday and Sunday both this weekend and next. She also has shows in BC over December 6, 7, and 8. Comprising 149 events spread over five continents, the December 8 show in Vancouver will be the last of the Eras Tour events.
Daughter of Star Trek director JJ Abrams, Gracie Abrams will be the supporting performer in Toronto. Abrams, who is beginning to act in her own right, is scheduled to start at 7pm; Swift will present her three-hour performance from roughly 8pm.
