After nearly two years on the road for her famed “Eras Tour” concert series, Taylor Swift can finally take some much-needed time for herself now that the tour has finally come to an end.
This includes spending quality time with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, who is now the one who’s facing a significant schedule conflict for the holidays.
According to reports, Swift and Kelce are intent on spending Christmas together despite the latter’s busy schedule. The Chiefs are scheduled to play on Saturday against the Houston Texans at home before battling the Pittsburgh Steelers in a road game on Christmas Day.
Page Six previously reported, however, that “Travis is going to make sure to take time out” to be with Swift for the holidays.
In Wednesday’s episode of Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, the Chiefs tight end spoke out about his busy schedule ahead. At this point, Kelce is just taking everything as they come.
“I’ll play whenever, wherever,” said the nine-time Pro Bowler. “I just know that I’m so fortunate to be able to play this game that I’m gonna cherish every time I get to play on this field.” Despite his rather emotional admission, Kelce has no plans of being a mere participant in these games.
He is determined to prove that he is still one of the top TEs in the game today, and in the process, help Kansas City stack up some wins.
“I think it’s gonna make it feel that much better if we can get out of this little three-game stretch with three wins,” he said, with the Chiefs also slated to take on the Denver Broncos on Jan. 4.
“Make us feel a little bit more confident that we can get after it against some of the best teams week to week to week.” This is not the first time Kelce has dealt with conflicts in his schedule and it certainly won’t be the last.
It is clear that his loyalty to the Chiefs remains unwavering, and he is going to do everything in his power to help them achieve their goal of securing an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat.
At the same time, however, this does not mean that he is going to let his commitments stand in the way of his relationship with Swift.
