With the tight end arriving in a red cardigan, Travis Kelce’s entry at Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game seemed like a tribute to girlfriend Taylor Swift. Given her relationship with Kelce started last year, it is unclear whether Swift will show up for her 17th Chiefs game versus the Denver Broncos.
Swift leaves uncertainty on whether she is out of the country or in Kansas City as she starts the last leg of the ‘Eras Tour’ in Toronto on Thursday. Kelce arrived at Arrowhead Stadium sporting a white t-shirt, a Chiefs cap, pants, and an energy drink.
Swift has watched every prior Chiefs home game this season, most recently seeing her guy play Monday’s victory over the Buccaneers. The Chiefs have a 13-3 record with Swift in attendance; this season they have 4-0. With Kansas City’s record silencing many of the naysayers Kelce has had a drop in form this season, the NFL’s only undefeated team still at 8-0.
For those who have long followed the Chiefs star, Kelce’s one touchdown in the team’s first eight games is shockingly low. As it was on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders, his sole score of the season came without Swift personally observing. Kelce had at least nine catches in three of his last four games, hence his output has surged recently.
Kelce’s greatest game of the season against Tampa Bay six days ago with 14 catches for 100 yards, both season highs.
