Travis Kelce has had a lot on his plate over the last year. Between playing in the NFL and following girlfriend Taylor Swift on tour, he’s been traveling quite a bit.
He’s also had to find time to prepare for the 2024 NFL season since winning the Super Bowl in February. Despite that, he still considers training camp his “sanctuary” since he always gets fired up for the season to start once he gets to Missouri Western State University where the Chiefs practice.
“This is my sanctuary,” Kelce told ESPN’s Adam Teicher. “St. Joe, Year 12. That means I’ve spent just about an entire year of my life up here in the dorms.
Everybody may say that is pretty grueling, but I enjoy it. There’s something about this place to get you ready every single year, and I’m not going to lie, I got pretty excited as the time started counting down to get out here and get this thing rolling.”
Kelce is coming off another tremendous NFL season in 2023, finishing with 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns.
He also won his third Super Bowl in February when the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. By all accounts, he’s ready for more as he’ll try to help the Chiefs win their third Super Bowl in a row this season.
