In just a few minutes the Kansas City Chiefs will take the field for a battle against the Denver Broncos who are in desperate need of a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. While the Chiefs rest starters like quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and defensive tackle Chris Jones, the Broncos will be lining up their starters for Sunday afternoon’s showdown.
After the Cincinnati Bengals took down the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night, the Broncos need a win to clinch a playoff spot. Kansas City’s star players can sit back and relax on Sunday, though.
The levity of the situation wasn’t lost on Kelce who has a habit of ignoring fans while focused on the game at hand. However, on Sunday afternoon he took a special moment to spread some joy to young Chiefs fans waiting in the hotel lobby before he left for this afternoon’s game in Denver. Cameras caught a tender moment between the Chiefs star and a few fans. “Travis leaving team hotel in Denver!” an account said with a smiling heart emoji.

Kelce received praise on social media for giving the kids some love before heading off to the game when he could have easily ignored them.
“I love how he always acknowledges the kids,” one fan said.
“Yessir,” said another.
“87. Leaving the hotel,” offered a third.
That wasn’t the only news involving Kelce on Sunday. Earlier this morning the NFL announced Kelce is currently sitting atop the leaderboard with the most fan votes for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Of course, Swifties took the blame for that.
