Travis Kelce isn’t concerned in the slightest about dating Taylor Swift. The NFL player shared in a January 2025 interview that he and the “Down Bad” singer “support” each other in a way that allows him to bring his “best” to football games.
Travis says he and Taylor are ‘happy’
There’s one word to describe Kelce and Swift and how they’re doing in their relationship and that’s “happy.” During a Jan. 15 appearance on the Stephen A. Smith Show, Kelce opened up about dating the pop star.
“I’m enjoying all aspects of life, me and Taylor are happy,” he said. “Having that confidence and comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium.”
Swift’s been in the stands cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs tight end at many of his football games since the two began dating in the summer of 2023. (Most recently, Swift watched Kelce in a playoff game alongside her mom, dad, brother, Kelce’s parents, and WNBA star Caitlin Clark.)
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce continued. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
Kelce is the ‘best version’ of himself with Swift’s ‘support’
Elsewhere during the interview, the 35-year-old NFL football player suggested Swift’s certainly played a role in him being at the top of his game. “That’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft,” he explained. “Focus on being the best version of you.”
“I think I’m as focused as I’ve ever been on my job and being the best player that I can possibly be, week in and week out for this team,” he added. “And it’s because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.”
At the time of writing, the Chiefs have one more game to win on their way to securing a three-peat with another Super Bowl win. They play the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Jan. 26, 2025.
