Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star, tried to steer clear of discussing his recent trip to New York City to see his girlfriend Taylor Swift on the most recent episode of their “New Heights” podcast, but his older brother Jason tried his best to bring up the subject.
“Is this…are we catching up….uh…What did I…I went…uh…I didn’t do anything for New Year’s. I was stuck working on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s and yeah, that’s all I got,” he said on the show, hoping to avoid talking about Swift.
Jason’s comment, “Well you went to New York,” which alluded to his date nights with Swift, was the last straw.
“I did go to New York. I had some delicious food and got to see the Big City, which I absolutely [expletive] love. Love the big city,” Travis said.
“Alright, welp,” Jason said, accepting that his younger brother was unwilling to discuss his romantic life.
During a different segment of the broadcast, the star Chiefs tight end addressed concerns that the squad was “scared” of the Cincinnati Bengals entering the playoffs.
“I’m not scared of [expletive] nobody, I wanted them in the [expletive] playoffs. I want to slay every dragon one-by-one like Mortal Kombat. I don’t want this to be like a we play the lowest seed. Just give me the best teams – AFC/NFC. Give me all of them, Mortal Kombat style. I’ll go through every [expletive] one of them just giving it my best [expletive] effort,” he said during the show.
“I ain’t scared of a single soul, man. I’ll play them in a Wal-Mart parking lot, I don’t give a [expletive]. We can have our own game in the offseason. Look, I love competing against the greatest. The Bengals were a fun [expletive] team to watch there towards the end of the [expletive] season. And it’s a shame they didn’t make the playoffs because it would have made the playoffs that much [expletive] crazier and that much more fun.”
Kansas City will face the lowest remaining seed from the wild card round.
