Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift private life in spotlight over friend saga

Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has seen her private life again become headline news just as the couple were stepping out into the public space after the Super Bowl.

Travis and Taylor had been laying low and had only recently begun to be seen out in public, and now comes a report that Swift, who was close friends with actress Jamie King, is not anymore.

While the Grammy winner is still godmother to King’s son, Leo, a source told the US Sun, that the pair are no longer “close” friends, but did state that this hasn’t meant Swift has skipped out on her godmother duties.

“Taylor and Jaime are not close anymore and don’t talk but there is still love,” the source said. “She has always taken her godmother role and duties very seriously and is the most caring and thoughtful person Jaime could’ve asked to be there for Leo. But their relationship is a lot different now than it was back when Jaime asked Taylor to be his godmother. There is no regular contact.”

Sometimes, things like this just happen in life and friend who were close, often drift apart, but if we are taking the source’s words at face value, Taylor is still very much a part of Leo’s life.

With King’s ex-husband, Kyle Newman, per The Sun, now having full custody of the pair’s two sons, things have gone from bad to worse for Jamie.

But it appears that no matter what has transpired between Taylor and Jaime, the Grammy winner is still going to be a part of Leo’s life as his godmother, but just in a different capacity to what she used to be.

And in the end, for Chiefs fans? It is hoped that this sort of personal-life drama doesn’t overlap into a distraction for Kelce as he plots maybe one more year and one last run at one more Super Bowl.
