Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, have voiced their concerns about Netflix’s ability to handle the streaming of NFL games on Christmas Day.
The streaming platform recently faced technical issues during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, and the Kelces are now questioning whether Netflix can manage the high-profile NFL games without similar problems.
The fight, which drew 65 million concurrent streams, became Netflix’s most-watched live sporting event. However, fans quickly reported technical issues, including stream freezing and crashes. The situation worsened when an unintended moment went viral-Mike Tyson’s bare cheeks were broadcast to millions of viewers.
This sparked a flurry of memes and jokes across social media, but it also drew attention to Netflix’s struggles with live sports streaming. During an episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce reflected on the viral moment with humor.

While the Kelce brothers laughed off the mishap, they also had a serious message for Netflix. They are concerned that the streaming giant might not be able to deliver a smooth viewing experience for the NFL’s Christmas Day games, which are set to attract millions of viewers.
“Hopefully, Netflix can figure out streaming, especially if we’re going to be watching all the Christmas games on Netflix,” Travis Kelce said.
With the NFL Christmas Day doubleheader—between the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans—just around the corner, Netflix is under pressure to resolve its streaming issues.
