Thousands of fans wished Taylor Swift a happy birthday on Friday, including, unexpectedly, the NFL. The pop star, who is famously dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, celebrated her 35th birthday on Friday, December 13. The occasion is widely celebrated as a holiday by her devoted fan base, but after a season and a half of bringing her star power to NFL stadiums across the United States, the singer appears to have gained one more admirer in the form of the league.
Even the NFL’s official TikTok account paid tribute to the singer on her 35th journey around the sun. The sweet video featured various glimpses of the ‘Fortnight’ singer rooting for her NFL lover at Chiefs games, including some of her most iconic moments, such as the on-field smooch with Kelce at the AFC Championship game in January.
However, the poignant cut deviated from football to include scenes from her Eras Tour, such as Kelce’s legendary debut onstage during one of her Wembley concerts earlier this year and their love backstage reunion in Argentina in November 2023. ‘Karma is the guy on the @Chiefs saying happy birthday to me,’ the post read, referring to Swift’s lyric tweak to her hit song ‘Karma’ in celebration of Kelce, who is also 35.
Another special tribute to Taylor was her birthday cake. A photo showing half of Taylor Swift’s birthday cake was shared on social media and fans just love. Both tribute from NFL and Cami’s Cake Co got a lot of reaction from faithful fans.
Fans went crazy over the birthday message in the comments, with many claiming the NFL has become an honorary ‘Swiftie.’
‘I never thought the NFL tik tok would make me cry. “Yet here we are,” one TikTok user wrote.
‘Not the NFL basically posting a fan edit, but I’m here for it,’ another user commented on the video, adding a laughing emoji.
‘Oh, NFL social media manager…’ I’ve gotten rather fond of you,’ one Swiftie said, while a fourth responded, saying, ‘The NFL account is the biggest swiftie and I love.’
‘Imagine explaining the NFL posting a Taylor Swift birthday shout out to your January 2023 self. What a time to be alive,’ one joked.

Swift spent the day before her birthday spreading cheer at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. The singer appeared overjoyed as she posed with children receiving treatment at Children’s Mercy Hospital before joining staff for a group photo on Thursday.
Her boyfriend, Kelce, was also at the hospital, although they were not photographed together. The visit indicated that Swift will be in Kansas City for her birthday, although it is unknown how the couple planned to mark the event.
