Taylor Swift has already committed to play a significant part in Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s upcoming wedding, even though they haven’t even been engaged for a day—or, at the very least, their engagement hasn’t been made public for that long.
Shortly after midnight on Thursday, December 12, the Only Murders in the Building star announced on Instagram that she and the music producer, who has been open about their relationship since last December, were engaged. The “Paper Rings” singer quickly commented that she was excited to take part—and no, not as the wedding singer!
Instead, Swift cheekily commented in response to the exciting news, “yes I will be the flower girl.”
With a picture of her ring, which included a big Marquise-shaped diamond set onto a band covered in diamonds, Gomez revealed to her admirers the next phase of their relationship.
During a romantic picnic filled with Taco Bell, Blanco seemed to ask for her hand in marriage. The actress captioned the photographs, saying, “forever begins now.”
When the former Disney Channel actress liked fan accounts’ postings about the duo, confirming their romance, the two made their relationship public in December 2023.
On one of them, she even wrote, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.”
Gomez is thought to be very supportive of Swift and Travis Kelce, the star of the Kansas City Chiefs, even if she hasn’t made any public remarks about their relationship.
According to an unnamed insider who previously spoke to Entertainment Tonight, Gomez thinks the pair is the “real deal” after witnessing “how respectful Travis is of Taylor and that he treats her like a queen.”
