Swifties, rejoice.
Taylor Swift will once again grace football fans’ lives on Monday.
The global superstar will be at Arrowhead Stadium when the Kansas City Chiefs host the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
Swift has missed her boyfriend’s – Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce – past two games on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers and Atlanta Falcons.
“She will not be here [today. But] I know she’s coming in for the game,” Kelce said at his second annual Kelce Car Jam charity event in Kansas City, Mo, according to Page Six. Kelce also turned 35 this weekend.
Kelce’s car exhibition helps raise money for kids in the Kansas City and Cleveland areas. Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, were born in Westlake, Ohio. Jason was joined by their father Ed Kelce at the charity event — and were mobbed by fans.
One of the cars shown off was the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle that he famously drove Swift around in last year after she went to her first Chiefs game.
Swift will be on hand to see if the Chiefs can move to 5-0 on the season. It will be a rough game, as the Chiefs are decimated with injuries. Kansas City will be without wide receiver Rashee Rice, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, wide receiver Mecole Hardman, and running back Isiah Pacheco.
But this may be the time for Kelce to have a breakout game, as his production this season has been low. The 35-year-old has yet to catch a touchdown this season, which is quite unusual for the offensive juggernaut.
When asked about the slow start, Kelce said he still is playing at the same caliber as when he put up a 1,000-yard season.
“I think this year stats may say something different, but at the same time you’ll see the same person inside this building, and that’s all I really care about,” Kelce said, per ESPN. “I’m my own worst critic. Everything outside of this building is just noise.
“I’m fortunate. I’ve had the success in the past and I realized that the ball can’t always go to one person. It can’t always get in my hands, but at the same time, I got all the trust in [Patrick Mahomes] to make the right decision, and he’s been making great decisions. We might not be putting up as [many] points as we want to, but at the same time we’re 3-0 and we’re doing something right.”
Can the Chiefs make it back to the Super Bowl this season with injuries and a lower-production offense? The Chiefs are 14th in the league in yards per game and average just 23.0 points per game.
Kelce and Swift began dating in 2023 and are definitely one of the highest-profile celebrity couples in the world. She has attended two NFL games this season and 15 total dating back to last season – and the Super Bowl.
