Taylor Swift is never going to beat the accusations “Folklore” is her favourite album after she celebrated the album in a very special way during the Eras Tour.

The singer, who has been performing in Germany this week, played her final night in Hamburg on Wednesday, which just so happened to be the anniversary of her 2020 album, “Folklore”.

Much to the delight of fans, Swift went above and beyond to celebrate the album’s fourth birthday. Not only did the artist’s store temporarily re-stock the “Folklore” cardigan, but she played fan-favourite “The Last Great American Dynasty” during her surprise song set.

Along with the 44 songs already included in her setlist, Swift plays two further songs during the acoustic set each show. On Wednesday, she made sure to include one of the most popular tracks from “Folklore”.

The song was previously included on the setlist before she had to make room for The Tortured Poets Department. Swift mixed “The Last Great American Dynasty” with “Run” from “Red”, in a moving guitar mash-up.

Then, for her final surprise song in Hamburg, Swift played “Nothing New” from “Red” and “Dear Reader” from “Midnights.” It wasn’t the only nod to “Folklore” during the show. Swift also opened up about creating the album during the pandemic, and how she had to adjust her process, during her performance.

She said: “It was just like such a challenge for us as creators, but it was so fulfilling,” Swift also explained how she styled herself for the album photoshoot.

“I like ordered all these nightgowns online and brought them and then did my own hair and makeup,” she revealed.

“It just makes me happy to look back on that period of time because we never made anything in that way before that and it was cool to know that we could and the way that you guys have embraced this album and the storytelling on this album has just warmed my heart. I’m so appreciative of it.”
