Taylor Swift was overcome with emotion last night in Italy as fans at her Milan concert made a massive unexpected gesture.
Italian fans organised a huge show of love, affection and appreciation for the 34-year-old hitmaker during her performance of Enchanted amid the Speak Now set.
Almost all fans in the stadium held signs that read: “We are enchanted to meet you after 13 years,” which referred to how it had been 13 years since Taylor had performed for Italian fans. Also on the pieces of paper that all fans held in the air, instructions were written out which stated that fans should hold the signs in the air before Taylor crooned the first chorus.
And as fans lifted the signs with the sweet message, Taylor was visibly moved when she spotted how thousands of fans had joined in. Someone shared a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, of Taylor when she noticed the signs.
They penned: “Taylor’s reaction when she saw the fan’s signs ‘omg they’re everywhere OH MY GOD’.” Someone replied: “The pure happiness on her face.”
Taylor could be seen looking completely stunned as she witnessed the huge outpouring of love from her fans, with her even mouthing “oh my god” and “they’re everywhere” as she scanned the stadium and pointed. Someone else said on X: “Her eyes her smile and ‘thankyou’..this is so sweet.”
While a third wrote: “I’m literally crying this is so precious.” And a fourth gushed: “She deserves the world.”
This comes as speculation continues to swirl around the singer over what some new outfit changes might mean after she debuted two new looks at her Eras Tour show last night for the Fearless and The Tortured Poets Department sets.
July 13 marked Taylor’s first night in Milan, with the hitmaker’s fans convinced an announcement would take place. Although Reputation (Taylor’s Version) was not announced, nor was a music video for I Can Do It With A Broken Heart (the next single from The Tortured Poets Department), Taylor did rock two brand new outfits that sparked speculation.
For Fearless, Taylor wore a black and gold “tiger stripe” style dress, and for TTPD she wore a new Vivienne Westwood frock with different lyrics scribbled across it.
