Travis Kelce is giving Taylor Swift some “peace” How? By reportedly making the 34-year-old pop star feel “protected” both physically and emotionally in their relationship. Why Swift “loves that feeling,” plus the role Kelce’s taken on as her “protector.”

Swift ‘feels safer’ with Kelce
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has, as a Swift insider told Page Six, brought the “Down Bad” singer “a tremendous sense of peace,’ which is pretty “new” for her in relationships.

“Just his physical presence. She feels safer with him than anyone she’s ever known,” the source said. “She knows he would do anything for her and physically she feels protected by him, and she loves that feeling.”

“It’s a relatively new one for her, relationship-wise,” they added. (Swift even has a song called “Peace” from her 2020 “Folklore” album which took inspiration from her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn.)

The source continued, saying Kelce has become Swift’s “protector” not just physically but also emotionally. “Travis is her protector in every sense of the word,” they said. “He is going to make sure she is physically safe, and emotionally safe—he is not going to do anything careless or reckless with her.”

Kelce previously opened up about feeling “protective” of Swift in an October 2023 episode of “New Heights,” the podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.

“Have you had to enact any security of your own? Do you feel like you’re a security guard when you are with Taylor?” the retired Philadelphia Eagles center asked.

“I feel like whenever I’m on a date, I’m always having the sense that I’m a man in the situation,” Kelce replied. “I’m protective, yeah, for sure. You always have to have that feeling or self-awareness, I guess.”

Swift and Kelce haven’t been seen together in weeks

It’s been a minute since Kelce and Swift stepped out together publicly. The reason is because they’re both back to work after some time off. Swift kicked off the final leg of her Eras tour on Oct. 18, 2024, in Miami, Florida. Meanwhile, Kelce’s back to weekly football games.

During a bye week, Kelce and Swift seemed to make the most of their time together. They went out to dinner multiple times in New York and were spotted at the Game 1 of the American League Championship Series to watch the Cleveland Guardians take on the Yankees.

Swift skipping the Chiefs’ away games is apparently going to continue. That is unless a Swift source claimed, the venue undergoes a thorough check from the Grammy winner’s security team.

“She’s not going anywhere unless she knows the venue intimately and it has been thoroughly scouted and secured in advance,” the insider said.

They also noted the “Fortnight” singer’s time at Yankee Stadium and the U.S. Open happened because staff at both venues were “excellent” about meeting security demands ahead of Swift and Kelce’s joint appearances.

Nov. 4, 2024, is the next time Swift may show up at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Kelce and the Chiefs play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. There’s a possibility Swift could be in the stands the following week on Nov. 10 when the Chiefs face off against the Denver Broncos at home.
