No, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did not secretly get engaged earlier this month. They were refuted on Friday, despite some speculations that they were moving their relationship forward.
An image of Swift posing at a party with an Eras Tour theme served as the catalyst for this claim. Because she got engaged, social media followers believed she masked out her ring finger. But according to a Daily Mail article, things couldn’t be further from the reality. Swift’s birthday and the conclusion of her almost two-year tour were the only reasons for the lavish celebration.
Having said that, Swift seems to be asking Kelce if they plan to get engaged. According to Daily Mail, Swift would choose a “white wedding” if they decide to get married.
“Travis is going to have to go above and beyond but it won’t be a public spectacle,” the source told Daily Mail. “They are both aware of the fact that the whole world is so thirsty for them to be engaged and, while Taylor does want a white wedding one day, her friends just feel like people need to chill and let them be a couple.”
Swift and Kelce’s engagement will be a private affair if it occurs soon. According to the person close to the All-Pro tight end, at least.
“When the time comes, people will know about it. But they are going to keep some things private and will have elaborate plans in place to ensure secrecy. They are not worried about those close to them leaking info because people who know them respect this. When and if Travis does make this happen it will be for Taylor and for Taylor only.”
Kelce finds the engagement rumors “hilarious,” according to Daily Mail, however he does feel some pressure from his inner group.
Swift and Kelce are currently only dating. From the outside, the famous couple seems to be extremely content. It has been claimed that both families would be spending Christmas together, which is quickly approaching.
