Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce fans are convinced the couple were meant to be after discovering a 2011 interview in which Swift suggested she wanted a boyfriend whose “comfort level with fame” matched hers.
In the archive footage, the 21-year-old singer described her ideal partner, and fans think the description sounds exactly like her boyfriend now.
Swifties spotted the “invisible string” between the couple after ’60 Minutes’ shared previously unreleased audio from an old interview with the young artist as part of the show’s ‘A Second Look’ podcast. In the 2011 interview, Swift spoke about dating in the public eye.
She said: “A relationship is the combination of two people and their comfort levels. It’s so heartbreaking when you have so many things line up and so many things click but your comfort level with fame is so different than theirs.
“‘Cause I don’t care. I’ll walk into a coffee shop with someone I’m in love with because I don’t care because I’m in love with them. It doesn’t matter to me who’s looking, but it does to some people.” She added: “It seems a little unnecessary to care that much about keeping people out.”
