While Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift continue to prove they’re the closest thing we’ll ever have to American Royalty, Sam Heughan isn’t counting out his chances just yet.
The Outlander star had the time of his life at the Eras Tour back in June, when he and his co-stars Caitríona Balfe, John Bell, Sophie Skelton, among others, attended Swift’s record-breaking tour’s stop in Scotland, shortly before they wrapped filming on their final season of the hit series.
“It was a really special moment with the whole cast,” Heughan reflected while chatting with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last night, Jan. 15, calling the “incredible” tour “a phenomenon.”

At the time, Heughan joked in a video posted to Instagram that when the “Karma” songstress saw him in the audience, she’d “forget all about [Kelce] and fall for a man in a ginger wig,” a clip that Fallon re-aired during their interview—and which Heughan is standing firmly behind.
“I still have the wig, Taylor, if you’re watching,” he teased. “He will wear the wig,” Fallon laughed, to which Heughan agreed, “Yeah!”
Other comments were a mix of fans playing into the imaginary pairing, with one pretending to uncover an Easter Egg hinting toward their relationship in “her Scottish themed [outfits] recently ,” while others fought over the actor. “Sam is my husband and Taylor needs to back off. ,” one said, while another argued, “NO he is mine! .”
Some wished the marketing team for the talk show would have focused on one of his projects, though. “They make it [about] Swift?” they wrote in part. “O kahmonnnnn!!! You deserve better than this.”
Something tells us Heughan is all right with that, though.
