Since the premiere of his contentious Netflix series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, the TV writer and producer has been a major social media issue. Following that release, Grotesquerie, Murphy’s most recent endeavor, will have its FX premiere on Wednesday, September 25.

The horror series, which premieres new episodes every week, centers on a detective and a nun as they look into strange incidents that are besetting a tiny town. Primetime Emmy-winning actress Niecy Nash (Dahmer) headlines the cast as Detective Lois Tryon opposite Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Monsters) and NFL player Travis Kelce in an unidentified supporting role.
