Patrick Mahomes talks baby no. 4 days after wife Brittany welcomed third child

Unbelievably, only a few days after welcoming his third child, Patrick Mahomes is already being questioned about a potential fourth.

The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, announced the arrival of their third child, a daughter called Golden Raye, on Monday, January 13.

Little Golden joins the couple’s two elder children, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, age two, and daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes, age three.

After hearing the good news, Patrick, who is now in the midst of the NFL playoffs before the Super Bowl, spoke during a press conference about his family’s new baby.

Asked what the last couple of days have been like, Patrick first shared: “It’s been cool, I’m supporting, Brittany crushed it. It’s been cool to welcome another baby girl [into] our family and see how my other kids react to her and having baby sissy and stuff like that.”

He added that he was constantly thinking about football because that’s what was on the hospital TV in the days before the baby girl was born.

“It’s been a lot of fun and it was cool that football was on TV when I was in the hospital so I got to watch a little bit, and Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football as she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter,” Patrick shared.

Also asked if it has been easier this time around, ever the good husband, Patrick responded: “I don’t even want to say that because Brittany is doing everything so I’m just trying to be supportive,” adding that it was just cool to be there and to experience it all.

Finally, some people wondered if he was already considering having a fourth child, but he quickly put that thought out of his head.

“I’m good with three for right now, we’ll see down the line maybe, but my goal was always three, so we’ve had three and we will stick there for a while, and see if we come back and do another one later on,” he maintained.

After being high school sweethearts, Brittany, 29, and Patrick, 29, got married in March 2022. In 2021, they welcomed their first daughter, and in 2022, they welcomed their boy. Her name was inscribed on a wooden plaque, and they announced the arrival of their third child on Instagram with a black and white picture of her tiny feet.

One month after Patrick proposed, which also happened the day he received his Super Bowl championship ring in 2020, the couple revealed their first pregnancy. Brittany joked on Instagram at the time, writing, “Just taking a small detour to the wedding.”
