Patrick Mahomes Shares $27,000 Christmas Gift to Each Offensive Line Player

This season, the Kansas City Chiefs hope to make NFL history by capturing a third consecutive Super Bowl championship. Given that the Chiefs (13-1) have the best record in the league and a firm hold on the top seed, their aim remains well within reach. During Kansas City’s 21-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns last week, quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a high-ankle sprain and left the game early.

While there was legitimate fear that Kansas City will bench Mahomes against the Houston Texans on Saturday, especially given that they play the Pittsburgh Steelers just four days later on Christmas, the 29-year-old quarterback participated fully in practice on Tuesday and Wednesday.

All signs lead to Mahomes suiting up. Given the Chiefs’ tough schedule over the following week, it appears Mahomes chose to bring Christmas early to his offensive line. It’s become customary for quarterbacks to give gifts to their offensive line around the holidays, but when your QB1 is a $450 million superstar, those gifts are extra special.

The most discussed item is the Rolex watch, an iconic luxury timepiece that costs thousands of dollars. However, the Hyperice Normatec Elite Legs Compression System, Lucchese cowboy boots, Oakley sunglasses, and red Yeti cooler were excellent additions. Of course, fans made jokes about the team’s offensive line woes, particularly at left tackle.

One user wrote, “Only three of them deserve anything.” Another fan commented, “I’m kinda shocked it wasn’t coal.” A person wrote: “If the oline ain’t better after these presents , brotha did all he could do.” One X user wrote, “They should be grateful they’re even getting something.”

Mahomes will need his offensive line to step up this week, particularly after hearing Texans defensive lineman Tim Settle’s admonition to their quarterback. When asked about facing the Chiefs, Settle stated, “This is the top team in the league right now, but this O-line definitely has their struggles, which I feel like we can take advantage of.

“We have an outstanding D-line. Pat’s a little banged up, so I’m not sure whether he’ll play, but I hope he’s mobile enough since we’re coming to Arrowhead. Pat better make sound decisions. I’m not making any threats; I’m making promises.
