Following the Kansas City Chiefs‘ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is spending as much quality time as possibly with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and their three children.
Brittany gave birth to the couple’s third child, a daughter named Golden Raye, in January. She joins big sister, Sterling Skye, and brother Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2.
Mahomes told reporters leading up to the big game in New Orleans, “[During] football season, you take so much time away from those little memories that you have just taking your kids to gym class or whatever it is and taking them to school and stuff like that.
“Whenever I get in the offseason, I try to spend as much time as I can with them, and get to see what they do on a day-to-day basis and build those memories with them.”
The 29-year-old quarterback also looks to make new memories with Brittany. While Mahomes keeps an eye on the team’s flurry of free agency moves, he also made sure to celebrate their third wedding anniversary on March 12.
While the couple has dated since high school, and got engaged in 2020, they didn’t tie the knot until 2022. The three-time Super Bowl MVP and Brittany got married at the Olowalu Plantation House in Maui, Hawaii. Sterling served as one of their flower girls while Mahomes’ younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, was the best man.
Mahomes kept his message to Brittany simple on Wednesday night. He posted a photo of his wife and wrote, “3 years .”
The couple shared an elaborate private dinner with a personalized menu based on photos the new mom of three shared on her Instagram Stories.
During their Hawaii nuptials three years ago, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce served as one of Mahomes’ groomsmen, and his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, as one of Brittany’s bridesmaids. However, Nicole and Brittany are no longer close friends.
