At this time last week fans weren’t sure if star quarterback Patrick Mahomes would be suiting up for a game against the Houston Texans.
However, not only did he play, but he helped the team to a 27-19 victory as the team moved to 14-1 on the season. Just four days later, the team will square off against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.
With a win on Wednesday afternoon the Chiefs would clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff race over the Buffalo Bills – the only team to beat Kansas City so far this season. Kansas City has everything to play for as it tries to lock up home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
As the game draws near, Mahomes admitted the team hasn’t done much on the practice field. “We haven’t done a ton as far as getting out there on the practice field,” Mahomes said, via ESPN.
“We’ve done a walk-through, actually two walk-throughs now, and I feel like I can move around and do what I need to do and now we’ll get to get to a little bit faster-paced practice and see where I’m truly at.

But I thought, all in all, I came out pretty well. While Mahomes is getting his ankle right, star tight end Travis Kelce was busy filming the latest episode of his podcast. At one point during the episode he glanced over at something and gave a wry smile.
Fans couldn’t help but react, with most assuming he was looking at Taylor Swift – but trying to play it off. “he isn’t subtle at all iol,” said one fan.
“Travis is trying so hard not to show his cards,” added another. “bro blushed like a school girl and he thought nobody was going to notice , i’m crying,” joked a third. “Don’t show your cards, don’t show your cards,” joked another. “Killatrav is not slick,” offered another. Kansas City and Pittsburgh kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Netflix.
