Taylor Swift is reportedly going to watch Super Bowl LIX and cheer for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. With that said, fans can expect the broadcast to show the pop star during the game.
Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has no problem with it, though. To recall, Stafford went viral last November after she admitted that she “got tired” of the NFL’s coverage of Swift.
The Rams star’s wife noted that she “felt almost felt like it was outshining the games.” Although Stafford clarified that she’s not blaming Swift for the coverage since the singer really can’t do anything about it, she emphasized that she’s “bothered” by how it has taken the attention away from the sport.
With the Chiefs playing in Super Bowl LIX and Swift set to be there, the cameras are obviously going to show the “Bad Blood” hitmaker.
When that happens, however, Stafford is all for it. Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will be broadcast by Fox.
“For sure you show her,” Stafford told Us Weekly. “She’s doing the same thing I’m doing or Brittany Mahomes is doing. She’s there supporting the man that she loves. If you’re gonna show families, you’re gonna show family. She is Travis Kelce’s family. So you’re definitely going to show her.”
For what it’s worth, Kelly Stafford has been open about her love for Taylor Swift’s music. She and her daughters even attended an “Eras Tour” concert in October.
She has also shown her appreciation for the music icon for inspiring more women and young girls to watch the sport. It’s unknown if the Staffords will be tuned in for the Super Bowl, though, especially since it appears the family is on vacation.
