Kansas City, Missouri — Severe winter weather has blown into the metro area ahead of the Chiefs’ Week 18 game against the Denver Broncos.
The team was scheduled to leave this afternoon, but KCI had to close the airstrip due to bad weather and a broken-down treatment truck. The FOX4 sports crew has now acknowledged that their aircraft is stalled on the runway.
The Chiefs and Broncos game is scheduled to start at 3:25 p.m. tomorrow. The game might have to be rescheduled, depending on how long the KCI airfield is closed.
The Chiefs had originally intended to depart before the storm could interfere with their travel schedule, but their scheduled aircraft was delayed in reaching KCI.
As new information becomes available, FOX4 will present it. This is a continuous issue.
