While Kansas City Chiefs supporters rejoiced over their team’s victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3, a good number of them had one urgent question on their minds. The topic of discussion was Taylor Swift and her decision to miss the Falcons game after attending the Chiefs’ opening two games of the season.
It turns out that Swift spent the night before in New York with her fashion friend Gigi Hadid. At that point, she decided to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce less than spend some much-needed catch-up time with one of her closest friends.
Swift reportedly did, however, speak with Kelce both before and after the game, which ended with the Chiefs winning their third straight game overall.
The good news for Kelce and the supporters is that Swift intends to watch the two-time reigning champions play their next game, per an insider. This implies that, assuming nothing untoward happens, the multi-Grammy Award-winning recording artist ought to be present when the Chiefs play the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4 at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.
“Going to the game in Atlanta wasn’t possible because she had scheduled time with some friends, like Gigi Hadid, whom she spent time with on the weekend, and other friends that she hasn’t seen in a while,” an insider told The U.S. Sun.
“She wanted to hang out with them before returning to the tour soon. But she plans to return to the next game to support Travis.”
After a mediocre start to the season, Kelce should benefit from this. With his girlfriend present, there’s no guarantee the nine-time Pro Bowler will be able to shake his bad mood, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt.
The Chiefs vs. Chargers game begins at 4:25 p.m. ET, so as the game draws near, anticipate an increase in the popularity of Taylor Swift.
