After a one-week hiatus, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce are dropping a new episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
The brothers made the much-awaited announcement on Tuesday, while also revealing their next special guest for their upcoming episode.
This comes in the form of NHL stars Brady and Matthew Tkachuck, who recently represented Team USA in the recently concluded 4 Nations Face-Off Championships. Unfortunately for the Tkachuk brothers, they went home disappointed after the United States lost out to Canada in the championship game.
As it turns out, however, more than a few “New Heights” fans were also upset — not because of Team USA’s loss, but because of the fact that the podcast decided to bring on the Tkachuk brothers.
“Sorry boys, I love your podcast. Been a fan since day one. However not going to watch this one,” a comment on Instagram read.

“Why those two ? They suck so bad, just like their old man. Crybabies and poor sports, left the ice before even getting their medals. Not a pinch of sportsmanship between them, hardly and example of what you guys usually promote.
They wanted to fight, so how did that turn out for Matthew? INJURED!!!!!! F’d around and found out. I’ll pass on this episode for the first time,” a user reacted.
“Sorry love you guys but super disappointed in your choice of guests for this episode and I think I’m speaking for most of your Canadian fans,” said another.
“For the very first time, I won’t be tuning into this episode. Disappointed that after their terrible attitudes, awful behaviour and poor sportsmanship during the 4 Nations event, you’d bring them on to be celebrated. It doesn’t align with who you both profess to be. Oh and Go Canada!” a fan wrote.
“Sorry. This will be the first episode I miss. These two completely disrespected my country. The country that your president continues to threaten.
The country that RULES the hockey world. A lot of respect lost for you guys with these guests. Not sure if I’ll ever tune in again.” declared another. “sorry no,” a comment read, along with a Canadian flag emoji.
A lot of supporters — at least those who listen to “New Heights” — aren’t very fond of the Tkachuk brothers right now. It is also worth noting, though, that Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast evidently has a lot of Canadian followers, and a good number of them have voiced their strong opinions against the Tkachuk brothers.
The new podcast episode drops on Wednesday on various streaming platforms.
